Green Tara

A copper based alloy cast depicting Green Tārā, in her standing version. She is characterised by the louts flower branch that rises over her left shoulder whilst her left hand is in the gesture of granting wishes, varadamudra.

There is a stylistic influence from the archaic representations of this figure and there is much silver decoration of the jewels and flowers present on the rear of the figure.

An inscription on the rear of the base is also visible.
